Who we are
Blue Diamond Prints is a trading name used by an individual seller operating from South Africa. We sell digital PDF books, workbooks, activity books, journals and planners through our online store.
We are responsible for the personal information you share with us and act as the responsible party (data controller) for that information, in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
If you have any privacy questions, contact us at nossynosipho874@gmail.com.
What personal information we collect
We only collect the information we need to deliver your order and run our store. This may include:
- Your name and email address, so we can deliver your files and confirm your order.
- Your country, where relevant for tax and pricing.
- Order details, such as the products you buy and the transaction reference.
- Messages you send us through our contact form or by email.
- Limited usage and device information, such as browser type and approximate location, collected automatically to keep the site secure and working.
How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Process your order and deliver your purchased PDF files.
- Send your order confirmation and download link by email.
- Respond to your support and refund requests.
- Prevent fraud and keep the website secure.
- Improve our products and website.
- Meet legal and tax obligations.
- Send occasional emails about new titles, only if you have opted in.
Legal basis for using your information
We use your information because it is necessary to fulfil our contract with you (delivering your order), because we have a legitimate interest in running our store securely, because you have given consent (for example, for marketing), or because we are required to by law.
Payments and Paddle
Payments are processed by our payment provider, Paddle, which acts as the Merchant of Record for our orders. Your card and payment details are handled securely by Paddle and are not stored on our servers.
Paddle collects and processes payment information for its own purposes, such as tax compliance and invoicing. For details, see Paddle's privacy notice. Our use of your information is limited to what is described in this policy.
Who we share your information with
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with:
- Paddle, our payment provider and Merchant of Record, for payments, subscriptions, tax compliance and invoicing.
- Service providers that help us run the store, such as hosting and email delivery, who may only use your information to provide that service to us.
- Professional advisers, such as accountants, where necessary.
- Authorities where we are required to by law.
International transfers
Because we use Paddle and other online services, your information may be processed or stored outside South Africa, including in countries that may not have the same data protection laws. We only share information with providers we trust to keep it secure, and we rely on appropriate safeguards where required.
How long we keep your information
We keep your information only for as long as we need it to deliver your order, provide support, meet legal or tax obligations, and run our store. After that, we delete or anonymise it.
Your rights
You have the following rights, under POPIA. To use any of them, email us at nossynosipho874@gmail.com.
- Ask what personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct information that is wrong or out of date.
- Ask us to delete your information, where we are not required to keep it by law.
- Object to or restrict certain uses of your information.
- Withdraw any consent you have given (for example, for marketing) at any time.
Complaints
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your information, please contact us first at nossynosipho874@gmail.com so we can put things right. You also have the right to complain to the South African Information Regulator.
Keeping your information secure
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including secure handling, access controls and encryption where appropriate. No online service is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies to keep the website working (for example, remembering your shopping bag between visits) and to understand how the site is used in an anonymous way.
You can control or clear cookies in your browser settings at any time. Disabling some cookies may affect how parts of the site work.
Children's privacy
Our products are created for children, but the website is intended to be used by parents, guardians and teachers who make purchases on their behalf. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has shared information with us, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above. We encourage you to review it occasionally.
